Akrotiri Marsh – Fasouri Feuchtgebiet Noch ist nicht alles „in Butter“ im umgebauten Fasouri Wetland, aber das Wasser Management und die natürlichen Schilfmäher funktionieren wie geplant. Zusehen ist das alles im Bereich des nördlichen Besucher Hide. Wasser ist die Zauberformel die z.B. die Knäckente, Krickente, Moorente, Löffelente und Stockente wieder in diesen Bereich der Akrotiri Marsh zurück gebracht haben.Erfreulich auch zu beobachten, dass auch der Entennachwuchs da ist....

Or let say from Ground Level on 1950 meters in the Troodos Mountains, the winter time is no easy time for the birds remaining on the island. I met a very late guest end of November at the Achna dam. The Ospreys at this time is actually long in more southerly areas, but this Osprey is obvious enough fish in the dam and the weather is not too bad. It's amazing how a few migratory birds can be seen in this year on the peninsula of Akrotiri in total. Also the number of Honey Buzzards is declined compared to the past few years. Here I'll show photos that I did in addition to my video work on the Salt Lake, Gravel Pit and Fasouri, some images are taken from the video clips. The reconstruction of the port area in Limassol 2013 built a large rain water channel, which touched the flow of water in the Zakaki Marsh area and Salt Lake. Promised was a sustainable restoration of the marsh area, the surface of the water and the Habitat of the bird world, even a visitor hide was raised. Man könnte glauben, dass die Vogelwelt im Oktober und November nichts besonders zu bieten hat.
