The town of Kyrenia and a further 37% of Cyprus are an occupied territory since the invasion of the Turkish army in 1974. Currently, over 40,000 Turkish soldiers in the occupied territory are stationed.

Die Stadt Kyrenia und weitere 37% der Insel Zypern sind seit der Invasion der Türkischen Armee im Jahre 1974 ein besetztes Gebiet. Zurzeit sind über 43.000 türkische Soldaten im besetzten Gebiet stationiert.
